you-say-party-we-say-dieTragedy Strikes Local Vancouver Band YSP!WSD!

Local band You Say Party! We Say Die! suffered an incredible tragedy last Friday night after their drummer Devon Clifford collapsed on stage at a show at the Rickshaw theatre. Audience members were taken aback when the band started to move around equipment on stage as though it were a set change. The confusion continued until somebody yelled to call an ambulance and everybody else just watched in shock.

Devon was taken to the hospital were it was determined that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage and he underwent surgery. On Sunday morning he passed away at the young age of only 30 years. The band’s label, Paper Bag later released the following statement:

“It is with absolute sadness to report that our dear friend Devon Clifford passed away just hours ago in a Vancouver hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. I request that we respect the family’s privacy during this incredibly difficult time.”
