It’s difficult to have a temper while spending a lovely, relaxing evening in Stanley Park. Beautiful (partially) sunny skies, fresh air, and resonate thick harmonies echoing in the surrounding 50 foot trees. But perhaps that is what the “Trap” is; impossible to have a “Temper” in these conditions.
It helped that these boys showed us nothing but an intense love for the music they delivered. There was no pretense, no stage antics, no disingenuous commentary… only them, humbly inviting their fans to share their experience. The whole mellow scene felt something like a friend’s backyard bbq jam. But I suppose this type of things is exactly what could be expected from a musician that started his career busking in the streets; a refreshing, modest performance. The Temper Trap- anything but.
