Apparently, all Steel Panther has to say is “Who wants to show us some pussy?” and within seconds a half naked girl floats out of the crowd and on stage. Once up there they made it clear she wasn’t getting a free pass to back stage, 
so she awkwardly rolled up her leather dress and showed everyone she was worth it. Then they asked to see tits. Then they asked to see both at once. And as the crowd roared and she uncomfortably giggled, Steel Panther proved that their make-up and animal print tights doesn’t affect the show’s ability to demean women. Or, more accurately put, giving a stage for girls to demean themselves. To be fair, they had prefaced the girl’s invite with a lengthy conversation about strippers and sexual poses from the night before- who wouldn’t want to get naked on stage after that? Nothing new for the glam rock world, and really that was the point. The whole scene was more of a tongue in cheek revival then anything else.
Not surprising from a band that has made it’s way with parodies such as Hole Patrol and Fat Girl (Thar She Blows). Every part of the show was over the top and hilariously exaggerating the once very pioneering world of rock stars with long hair and tights. 
From doing their make-up on stage to timed kicks and epic guitar poses, these guys know the drill and owned it completely. And the music was also bang-on (pun intended); ripe with wailing lyrics and winding guitar riffs. But fan of the music or not, Steel Panther is really about the experience and every single leather clad fan banged fists of approval. I had been told by my photog circle that Steel Panther is a must see performance…. yup they are purest of hair band rock n roll. Well, look at the photos and you decide…
